(Students focusing while not looking at the keyboard for round 1)
ACM Chapter 2022 organized a Coding Competition in our college, MHSSCE on the 22nd of September 2022. More than 70 enthusiastic participants attended the session. They were given one hour to solve the two problems in each round. The questions were designed to challenge the students and promote out of the box thinking, problem solving skills and analytical thinking. Numerous students turned up from second year, third year and fourth year as well.

(Intense Coding during round 3)
The round 1 of the event was held at 3 Labs: IS Lab, WE Lab and CC Lab which were all split with around 20 students. At 10:20 am, the round one officially began and the students began coding. It included questions like finding the sum of N numbers and printing a star pattern of user inputted lines. The students had a mixed emotion of being shocked and amused when they found out that round 1 was to blind code i.e., they cannot look at the keyboard as they type. Thirty students from the list that had the fastest performance and successfully finished both codes proceeded to round 2.
Since having fewer students as compared to round 1, the round 2 was held in only 2 Labs: IS and CC. It began at 11:20 and students breathed a sigh of relief when they found out they can see their keyboards while typing this time. The questions in this round included finding sum of digits in a number till it becomes a single digit and replacing each element in the array by its rank in it. This round lasted 45 minutes and concluded thereafter. Only 10 students qualified to the final round.
Round 3 was the final, most difficult round which included codes like completing a function in a pre-existing code and finding if entered string was an anagram or not. The round started at 12:15 with the same 45-minute time limit. The final winners were: 1st place-Mr. Faisal Shaikh, 2nd place-Mr. Raj Manjrekar and 3rd place-Mr. Aakash Jha. They were felicitated with a box of Cadbury Celebrations and trophies to each of them.
